March Madness Friday er.. Saturday

So, yes, i really had no reason to miss my own self-imposed weekly Friday deadline other than this:

It's the 3rd week in March, and i am utterly useless for anything Thursday - Sunday. These three weeks of basketball are truly the best time of year for sportsfans, and while there are many, many world changing and much more important things going on on this little blue dot of a planet, i find myself not caring at all. I'm sure that to some extent, that i'm preaching to the choir.

Suffice to say, then, when the brackets were announced last weekend, and MSU received a slot to play in Denver on Thursday i got myself some tickets and was able to take in the game with Ned (an old college roommate) and Josh (and old Cheyenne roommate and also old AFROTC companion at State) who both are Denver residents. The boys in green played pretty well, had a solid defensive outing and shot better than average; even without the help of Drew Neitzel. The game we won starts up in a few minutes against Pitt, and i'm posting this now while my attitude is still hopeful, as Pitt (the second game that we also got to watch) looked fantastic on Thursday, and are not a crazy pick to make it to the championship game. For serious.

But, the comic this week is from perennial favorite Joe Loves Crappy Movies, but is a brief amount of commentary about the current mental status of John Locke from the TV show LOST. That said, clicking on the picture below will bring you to punchlines that will only be funny if you have an unhealthy obsession with said show. BUT, you will also find at the bottom of the page linked (attention DWIGHT) a first look at Snake Eyes from the upcoming GI Joes movie. veeerrrry interesting.....

Is it geeky for me to say that I'm excited to have Darth Maul play Snake Eyes? Ray Park is a bad a$$.
