It is that time of year again: time for all of us to over-invest emotionally in sporting contests that we have no actual physical control over! Just call me Dougie Brackets, and head over here and enter the password: Spartans to enter yourself into the pool of entrants to compete for March Madness dominance.

The pool is run by the CBS Sports website, and you'll have to register yourself with the site to get into the bracket if you haven't done so already. The really nice thing about this setup is that it will remember you next year, so we already have a number of people already in the pool from the folks who participated last year, whether they know it or not. The selection show happens today at 6 p.m. EST, and you will be able to make your bracket selections up until 11 a.m. EST on Thursday, before the first game of the tourney kicks off. Like last year, the scoring will reward you for correctly picking upsets in the first 3 rounds, by awarding you points for every correct winning team pick equivalent to their seeding. (i.e., pick a 12 seed over a 4 seed, and the 12 seed wins, you get 12 points) You are also able to enter 2 brackets per person in this pool, if only to allow one for the sake of what you think will happen, and another for what you want to happen.

The winner again will take all bragging rights and also a pound of premium fort collins microbrew or coffee (or in Steph's case, our winner last year, Tea) and will forever be known as smarter than me. While that last trophy may not be much, i hope the beverages will be enticing enough to throw your hat in the ring.
