Testing.. testing.. is this thing on?

Hi!
So, yes, i have been lurking around of late. Checking on this, checking on that, but largely ignoring my reader and inbox as best i can.
I will blame such sentiment on mine and liz's workload of late, the schoolyear is ending and my summer has already ramped up with last second projects... also i only have so much energy to devote into checking into my online life, and lately my fantasy baseball team (Go JimLeyland'sMustache!) has been filling most of that time. Not that my team is doing that well, mind you, but i digress.
The above shot was taken by the lovely and talented Kate, from a climbing day last weekend up in Vedauwoo. (You can see the whole day's pictures here.) We're currently planning on leaving dark and early tomorrow morning for a three day stand up there again this weekend to celebrate Memorial day, drink some beer around some dead burning trees and donate some skin and blood to the vedauwoo crag fund.
In the last week, though, work took me to the farmland and green fields just East of Denver for a few days, where i was taking soil samples around some wellheads - and taking full afternoons of driving to think and enjoy the sunshine made me remember again that i had things that i wanted to write about, complain about, and ask unanswerable questions. So, this is to say that I'm going to try and make this place a better part of my life again. So, no more complaining in the sidebar.
Also, because i love you, here's the best comic i've seen in a few days, courtesy of Penny Arcade:
