The Book That is Currently Changing My Life

Seven hundred and forty-two pages of vegetarian recipes written by a chef who is not a vegetarian. Somehow this makes her more credible in my eyes. As much of vegetarian cooking could be spent trying to replicate meat dishes with often second-rate substitutes, this is just a celebration of good quality vegetables in their own right. I've already become excited for next year's CSA...

So I think I bought my brother the same two books that Liz got for Christmas. The vegetarian book and Alton Brown. Funny.

Brian, you are correct. In fat, Liz bought the book in this post only after she saw your brother's copy at your house and coveted it. She spent Saturday morning reading it like a novel in front of the fireplace. I love my wife.

Liz, we REALLY need to hang out. I spend most Saturday's reading cookbooks by the fire...
